A Modern Cottage Garden in Barnsbury

A beautiful Georgian terraced house in Highbury and Islington. The small townhouse garden was tired with a circle of patchy grass. The owners wanted a low maintenance contemporary cottage garden with a contemporary twist. We installed a Yorkstone curved patio and made the most out of the limited size of the borders way selecting a hardy selection of perennials that would make the most of the height available and create interest year round. The access to the garden was through the basement of the property which made getting supplies in and waste out, particularly back-breaking. we are looking forward to taking pictures of this garden next summer when the perennials have established.
