Terraced Patio

By far the largest amount of patio I've ever designed and built. The client was adamant in wanting plenty of space to entertain guests on a large outdoor dining table on those long summer evenings, as well as having space for two large sun loungers to take in the fleeting English sun (a very different type of weather from her home in Dubai). A colossal amount of turf had to be removed and the slope terraced with reclaimed stones found onsite. Once this was complete a truly huge number of sand stone slabs were ordered from a local family run business. A curved gravel path stepped with sleepers dissected the patio and a wide plant border to snake down to a newly constructed gate at the bottom. I'll be returning in the Summer to see how the garden has come along, more pictures to follow.
