A Lovely spalted Beech serving board/charcuterie that was brought down in a storm in Middleton near Kirkby Lonsdale in 2017. It has a wonderful blend of darker heartwood set agianst the lighter sapwood interlaced with the black zone lines of the (now inert) fungi.
It has been planed and sanded to a high degree, treated with Danish wood oil and coated with food grade English beeswax.

Wood is a natural material liable to splitting and cracking under extremes and/or fluctuations in temperature and moisture levels. It is therefore imperative that you take care of these boards by reading the following:
- DO NOT scrub the boards at all or clean them with harsh chemicals or non-organic wahsing up liquid.
- DO NOT soak them or put them in the dish washer (it has happened before)
- Clean your board by either wiping it down with a damp cloth or using a tiny drop of eco-friendly washing up liquid with said cloth
- Re-wax your board occassionaly with a natural food grade safe bees wax to protect against food and water damage and to keep the natural colours of the grain from fading
